PARKS & REC
Orange Community Education and Recreation represents one of the most comprehensive programs of educational, enrichment, recreational and leisure opportunities for participants of all ages and interests to be found anywhere in Ohio. Its professional staff works in tandem with residents, the school district and the community to develop programs and services in ten main areas, including:
- Early Childhood
- Youth & Teens
- Adult Education
- Sports
- Aquatics
- Special Events
- Summer Camps
- Youth Theatre
Each year, more than 1,000 classes and other programs are offered, attracting as many as 12,000 registrations.
The OCE&R was founded in 1973 by the Orange School District and several participating suburbs, including Pepper Pike. Two years later, a community and recreation levy was passed, but to this day, nearly three-quarters of the program's operating revenue comes from user fees and registration income. The State of Ohio has recognized the program's excellence by naming it the sole model training site for other communities and school districts.
The Orange Early Childhood Center has a comprehensive program providing classes and activities for children from birth until school age. The center offers half, full and extended day preschool classes. Enrichment activities are also offered for parents, babies, toddlers and preschoolers, along with summer camp opportunities.

| TRANSPORTATION
Cleveland Greater Rapid Transportation Authority
The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (officially the GCRTA, but historically and locally referred to as the RTA) is the public transit agency for Cleveland, Ohio, United States, and the surrounding suburbs of Cuyahoga County. RTA is the largest transit agency in Ohio.
The RTA Rapid Transit rail system (better known as "The Rapid"), consists of one heavy rail line (the Red Line) and two interurban light rail lines (the Blue, Green and light-rail Waterfront extension line). The bulk of RTA's service consists of buses, including regular routes, express or flyer buses, loop and paratransit buses.
Doing it's part to help Cuyahoga County stay Green, the RTA has equipped all of its mainline buses with bicycle carriers. Each bus can carry two bicycles. Bicycles are also allowed on rapid transit trains (with a maximum limit of two per car) at all times, although operators may refuse bicycles if a train is overcrowded.
